Independence Day @ NITIE

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day ,NITIE decided to launch the most popular event of the campus 'Swadeshi Mandi' with the motto of 'Vocal for Local' with the aim  to become self reliant. After the speech of our honorable Prime Minister of making our country 'Atmanirbhar' NITIE decided to show the path of how to become self reliant  to students and citizens of our country

   

So on this occasion we had 2 special guests to inaugurate 'Swadeshi Mandi' along with 'Mandi Sir':-

1)Shri Abhay Jere, who is the Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of Education, GOI

2)Ms Apeksha who is the Founder Zyka Ka Tadka

Both of the guests gave emphasis on entrepreneurship which is  need of the hour if India has to become self reliant.They suggested what it takes to be an entrepreneur. How we can we fulfill our  Prime Minister's mission .

1) Abhay sir  explained about how India can become self reliant. How India can achieve $5 trillion economy. He told that the pandemic has taught it is important that a country becomes self sufficient so as to reduce dependency on foreign countries.

He also emphasized on local products and local shops,how they helped India during the pandemic when there was supply chain disruptions.It was the local kiranas helped in pandemic when big companies couldn't help. 

He said we should focus on Research and Development as Indians dont lack ideas. There is idea every corner of country .He also complemented on the idea of Mandi Sir to start Swadeshi Mandi which is a great initiative by NITIE.

He told to give more focus on Local products and promote local products. We should take covid as opportunity be Vocal For Local

2)Ms Apeksha madam.She owns a channel 'Zayka ka Tadka' on youtube where she and her mom cooks food.This channel has gained quite a popularity during lockdown. 

She is an Alumni of Nitie and she joined P&G post her Post Graduation in 2007. She ledt her job to pursue her dream and started the channel with rupees 30000. She told if she can do then everyone can do .

She also said that never to stop dreaming and dream big. She dreams to become IPL manager.For common people it may seem  farsighted dream but it needs the mentality to dream something big

She also added that her mother was her constant support and she crediter her mother for the success of channel and this tell us how rooted she was. Even Mandi Sir appreciated her saying that her mother is no less than teacher. She said that her mother addressed large crowd and she never felt nervousness after seeing the large crowd. She and her Mom is the secret reciepe behind Zayka ka Tadka

All in all both the guests  emphasized on Entrepreneurship and appreciated that NITIE is howing path to the country by opening Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell .Also many of the startups like Cashify,Lal 10,Trell are founded by NITIE Alumni.
